A Few Pics....

It's late and I'm messing around with some new photo editing software so I thought I would share. (This is Matt by the way)

The shelf above Randal's dresser...

The fish above her crib...

And Tessa trying to hold in her excitment and anticipation of Randal's arrival...

That's it for now, trying to get some practice in before baby pics!

Nursery Arts and Crafts

Before we knew we were having a girl I researched nursery themes, bedding, etc in order to get an idea of what I would want when we found out what we were having. It was clear at that time that boy or girl we would need to pour our own creativity in to the nursery to make it special for our child while incorporating our personal style. Randal's room, when complete, will have lots of personal touches from her mom and dad, family, and friends. All the little things are starting to come together and I hope to post next weekend a post regarding the complete nursery. One of the items I am most excited about is the art above her bed. I thought of the idea of a fish with bubbles coming out of its mouth spelling "Randal Jean," but I knew there was no way with my artistic abilities that I could pull it off. I told my mom my idea and being the wonderful mother (and artist) that she is she volunteered to bring my idea to life. Matt and I are absolutely in LOVE with how the fish and bubbles turned out. THANKS MOM!!!!!
PS- The pic makes it look like a mural but these are all painted wooden cut outs so in person there is a nice 3D effect.

Maternity Pics

On Saturday we had Katie Mathews come to the house to do some maternity pics. She sent us a sampling of pics last night and I thought I would share :) I have really enjoyed being pregnant and wanted pictures that captured exactly that. The pics below are a bit risque (although tasteful), but we did have "normal" maternity pics taken as well but I don't have a sample of those yet. When Katie does a post on her blog about our maternity session I will post the link on this blog so everyone can see other pics.

Take a Guess

At one of my showers we played a game where everyone guessed when Randal Jean will arrive. I would like to get everyone else's input as well. So if you weren't at this shower please post a comment of when you think Randal will arrive and I will update the numbers.

Showers

I've had two showers to celebrate Randal Jean's upcoming arrival. The first was two weeks ago back in Kernersville and the second was last weekend here in Wilmington. Both showers were super fun and made me even more excited for Randal to get here (if that was even possible!). At my shower in Wilmington the hostesses had a friend/local photog come over to document the day. Click here to go to a link of the photog's blog post on the shower. I hope to post pics of the Kernersville shower soon....I need to get Matt to re-size the pics for posting.

33 weeks

Time seems like it is starting to run out. I can't believe we are already at 33 weeks. I can tell by Randal's movements that she is starting to run out of room and things will only get more cramped for her until she makes her big arrival! I had a Drs appt this week and I am measuring right on target and Randal's heartbeat sounded great as well :)
