Trip to the Zoo!!!

A few weekends ago we spent a very hot Saturday at Tregembo (sp?) Zoo here in Wilmington.  As you may have guessed it is a rather small zoo but still has all your typical zoo animals (zebra, bear, tiger, etc).  Randal Jean seemed to enjoy seeing all the animals, however, due to the heat we didn't get to see all the zoo had to offer as the animals were taking refuge at the back of their cages and fences or sleeping in an effort to keep cool.  If we go back to this zoo we will definitely pick a cooler day....although I think our next trip to the zoo will be the the big zoo in Asheboro some time this fall :)

Popsicle!!! Don't let this fool you....she took about two licks and was done!  She doesn't like very cold things.  I think her daddy knew this all along and used this as an excuse to get it for himself :)

Randal has been caught with her hand in the dog food jar?!?!  Unfortunately this was not a one time occurance....the child loves to give the dogs food.  Too bad she isn't the one getting told by the vet that the dogs are overweight as it is.  Besides the fact that the dogs really don't need any more food Randal makes an absolute mess when she gets in to the dog food container so most days you will find it on top of the kitchen table (classy!).

Keeping Cool

A few weekends ago we headed to Matt's parents in Calabash to enjoy lunch together.  It was scorching hot that day (no shocker there!) so Randal kept cool in the sprinkler :)

We're Back!

After a nice long week at Pine Knoll Shores we are back in Wilmington.  It was so nice to be away from work and the house for a full week hanging out with the family on the beach.  Randal absolutely wore herself out every single day and took record breaking 4 hour long naps, I completely unplugged and enjoyed time with my little bit (so nice!), Matt fished in the Big Rock (sorry no winning to report), and I think its safe to say a good time was had by all.
