Tilley Grey- 5m

Tilley turned 5 months old yesterday :)  Here's some things to know about Tilley at 5m

*She eats 3 meals of solid foods a day.  She has tried peas, apples, pears, carrots, sweet potatoes, and prunes thus far.  She likes them all with the exception of peas.
*She likes to giggle at her sister
*She has a firm grip and will latch on to your hair in a second so watch out!
*Is gnawing on toys and her hands.  Makes me think there might be a bit of teething going on
*Finally graduated to a size 3-6m clothing
*Looks like her bright blue eyes are going to stay :)
*The verdict is still out on hair color.  I don't think it will take a turn towards Randal Jean's shade of red but she definitely has some red in her eyebrows so we will see
*Has yet to sleep through the night...Happy 5m without sleeping through the night anniversary to me!
*MUST be swaddled to sleep for any length of time
*Has discovered her feet and thinks they are pretty awesome
*Can roll from stomach to back and back to stomach
*During tummy time she is starting to try and get her legs underneath her.  Not quite there but certainly showing the first signs of wanting to be mobile
*Is the biggest momma's girl I've ever seen in my life
*Still hates her carseat with an absolute passion
*Babbles very loudly...I suppose its an effort to be heard over Randal Jean :)

I Wanna Hold Your Hand

Seriously the sisterly love between Tilley and Randal Jean is just too much!  They love to lay together and hold hands...until a camera comes out and then Randal is over it, ha!  Luckily while I was getting some 5m shots of Tilley today (will share those tomorrow) Randal Jean wiggled in to hold her sissy hand :)

Happy Father's Day 2012

Happy Father's Day!!!  We had a lovely day in Calabash with Matt's family but missed the other two daddys in our lives (Papaw and Grandpa George).

Beach Babes!

A good friend of Randal Jean's had her 4th birthday party out on the beach today.  We had such a great time :)  This was Tilley's first time spending any significant time on the beach.  She did fairly well except that she is a momma's girl and wanted me to hold her almost the whole time.  Randal Jean had an absolute BLAST which came as no surprise.  She had so much fun she even went to bed at 630 tonight :)

Playtime!

The girls love to "play" together.  For now play time means Randal Jean totally invades Tilley's personal space, but she doesn't seem to mind so we go with it :)

Seriously Daddy?

Daddys are great for a lot things.....throwing you WAY high in the air, going swimming in the pool, taking the boat for a ride, playing basketball, the list goes on...  But (you knew there must be a but, right?) Daddys are NO good at matching hair accessories to outfits.

A few Friday's ago I was taking Tilley to the doctor and left Matt at home to get Randal Jean ready so they could meet us at Mayfaire for the Friday night concert.  When Randal Jean got out of the car at Mayfaire this is what I saw....Red bow with a aqua and lime dress.  Seriously, Daddy...

Our Dancing Queens

Fridays nights have meant the concert at Mayfaire for us the past couple of weeks.  Through out the summer a local shopping center hosts free (kid-friendly) concerts on Friday evenings.  You pack a cooler and are good to go!  Randal Jean has been having a blast at the concerts and dances up a storm :)  She even recruited her sister to be her dance partner last time we were there.

First one on the dance floor :)  It should also be noted that before the concert even started Randal Jean was out on the dance floor dancing to music playing on the radio.  She would stop and applaud after each song just like she does the like band.

The band brought along maracas this evening.  Randal Jean was happy to help out :)
