Sick

The stomach bug has made it through our household getting to each of us one by one. I don't know if I should be thankful that it has hit us one at a time so I can care for my babes or wish it had hit us all at once so we could just be done with this mess. It started with Matt over the weekend then Randal Jean, myself, and now Tilley.

I don't think there is ever a good time to be this sick but this is without a doubt the worst time of year for me to be sick. My business really kicks it up a notch at the holidays and I have found myself rescheduling sessions and emailing clients to tell them it will be a bit longer on their galleries. Everyone has been so gracious so far as the overwhelming majority of my clients are parents of young children so they get it but I really just want to get back to work soon.

I'll get back to blogging once I'm caught up on client orders/edits. I'm currently blogging from my phone while Tilley sleeps in my arms. If you want up to date pics of the girls check out my Instagram feed on the right sidebar.

It's Official

It's official!!!! I have joined the masses and upgraded to an iPhone 5. Not a moment too soon as my droid was about to finally bite the dust for good after I dropped it for the millionth time and the screen shattered.

Anyways I'm most excited about the camera. Now I can join the legions of moms taking blurry phones pics of their kids.

I am posting this from my phone so I can't caption each photo. This is a hodge podge of playing in the playroom, Tilley playing with her twin in the mirror, Randal Jean devouring "pumpkin cream," our walk to school when Matt took Tilley's carseat to work with him, bath time, Randal Jean sleeping at the foot of the bed, and Randal Jean wanting to drive my car.

And because this post isn't random enough lets throw in a recipe for pumpkin dip or "pumpkin cream" as Randal calls it.

Cool whip
Can of pumpkin purée
Packet of instant vanilla pudding
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Combine and serve :). We like it with apples and ginger snaps

Leaves!!!!

Our yard is full of pine needles and not very many leaves.....  We do, however, have a neighbor with lots of leaves and I may have just let me kids play in their back yard today :)  I did knock on their door to see if it was okay first but no one answered so I assumed they were at work.  I should note the fence in the background is the outside of our fence and our neighbor's back yard is not fenced so it wasn't quite as sketch as it sounds/looks.

Randal Jean had lots of fun with the leaves.  Tilley tried to eat them....

I'd like to take the opportunity to wish my baby brother and my most frequent blog commenter a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!  Thanks for being a great brother, a loving uncle to my kids, and last (but by no means least!!!) a blog commenter :)

Till Reunion 2012

The weekend prior to Halloween we traveled to Neeses, SC for the Till family reunion.  I love large families and am honored to be from one that still makes the effort to get together every 2 years to reconnect.  Most of the Tills are from SC, however, we had family come from as far away as CO and TX for the event!  I love that so many in my family make this gathering a priority in their lives even if they live far far away and its only for 1 afternoon.  I have so many memories from being little riding horses on the farm and fishing.  There are no longer horses but my cherished moments at the reunion have now turned to looking over the family tree and old photos of my grandparents when they were young as well as watching my own children make memories of carving pumpkins and taking turns driving the big tractor during the hay ride around the farm.

I didn't get to take nearly as many pictures as I would have liked this year as Tilley was even more of a mama's girl than usual due to teething, but here are some images of our time on the farm :)
