Tough Girl

Randal Jean is constantly falling, tripping, running in to things, etc but typically springs right up and says "I okay" or "tough girl."  Not too long ago the edge of the coffee table seemed to be too much for our tough girl as she was running circles around the living room and feel lip first right in to the coffee table.  Lots of blood, tears, and a very swollen lip followed.

She's still a beauty even with a fat lip :)

We Celebrate...With Cereal?

Tilley turned 4 months on Sunday and we celebrated with Oatmeal baby cereal.  Sounds absolutely appetizing, I know!

These next two videos are of Tilley eating...feel free to ignore that Matt nor I have quite figured out focusing when using the video on my camera...

 So what is Tilley like at 4 months:

*Happy, happy, happy...as long as she isn't tired and then its another story!
*Smiles a lot and with her whole heart.  It melts me every time.
*Coos/talks all the time
*Loves her big sister...she smiles the biggest for Randal Jean
*Has begun to sit well in the bumbo seat and in the highchair
*Still not a fan of car rides.  She actually doesn't mind the car seat that much just riding in the car.

Also, Tilley is one of the smallest 4 month olds in town weighing in at only 10 lbs.  She was 9 lbs at her 2 month appt so needless to say we have been struggling with her weight gain.

For comparison...Matt was this size when he was born and for those who follow pop culture Jessica Simpson gave birth to a daughter just under 10 lbs not too long ago but I guess that's what happens when you have a 3 year gestation period (anybody else feel like she was pregant for.ev.er?)

So for the past 2 months we have been in and out of the doctors office getting different theories on what will cause her to gain weight.  Those theories included:

*Pumping each time after I nursed her to increase supply (this was extremely trying with a toddler to balance as well)...she actually lost weight doing this
*Increasing her feedings to every 3 hours even at night...her weight didn't budge when we did this
*Supplementing with soy formula...didn't work has decided that bottles aren't her thing.
*Feeding every 2 hours....this was the winner and she actually gained .5 lbs when I started doing this.

Needless to say feeding a 4 month old at the same rate you would feed at newborn is exhausting and also means I haven't slept through the night in 4 months.  I am hoping that with the addition of solids and the continuation of feeding her every 2 hours (every 4 hours at night) we will get a good weight check at her official 4 month appoint in a couple weeks.  Then maybe just maybe I will be able to sleep...

Constant Entertainment

Tilley is getting very good at sitting in the bumbo seat so she can now take part in watching the constant free entertainment we have at the Bork household....aka Randal Jean!!!

Here are some more pictures I found while going through all of our January photos.  Most of these are from a mini maternity session that a friend was kind enough to take photos for just days prior to Tilley's arrival.

This is one was taken while Matt was trying to get some pictures of Randal Jean and I before Tilley was born...Randal Jean was not being cooperative for pictures (shocking, I know!) so Matt wrestled with her on the bed to cheer her up :)

Fun in B-Bash

Every few weekends Randal Jean gets to go spend the night in Calabash with Matt's parents.  She call's it b-bash :)  Here are few pics Matt's mom took during Randal Jean's last visit.

Just what I wanted!

Randal Jean and Tilley gave me an early Mother's Day present this week...they both cooperated for photos for a WHOLE 5 minutes.  Praise the Lord!!!  I couldn't have asked for anything more for mom's day :)
