Stacking

While I am in the kitchen Randal Jean likes to go through the cabinet and pull out everything she can get her hands on and then stack all the canned goods.  I always get really nervous that she is going to drop a large can of crushed tomatoes on her little toes...so far so good though :)

Enjoy!

Concentrating on her next move

Preparing, going for it, stacking, steadying, and falling down....

This is why...

This is why you don't see many pictures of the 3 of us.  To even have this taken Matt and I had her in a death grip while she is trying to claw her way out of our arms and to top it all off she sticks her tongue out...its like she is laughing at us!

Randal & Cobi

If I haven't mentioned it before (ha!)...Randal kinda loves her Cobi bear and wants to be around him all the time :)

Somebody Loves Blueberry Pancakes!!!

I made blueberry pancakes for breakfast last Sunday and Randal Jean devoured them!  She ate three pancakes all by herself...and probably could have kept going.  I hate two myself and was ready to pop so for her own good I cut her off at 3!

Easter Festivities at the Battlehip

Yesterday my friend Heather and I took our kiddos to the Battleship for some Easter festivities.  Although it was a largely unorganized event (not good for an event with kids) we still managed to have a good time :) We enjoyed a bean bag toss, rubber duck pond, Easter egg hunt, farm animals, and pony rides :)

Enjoy!

Jackson helping out Randal...such a little gentleman :)  He fed her goldfish and then helped her get a duck out of the "duck pond".  Too cute!!!

Randal picked up on what to do at an egg hunt with no problem!!!
Farm animals :)  Randal Jean got a kick out of the goats and tried talking to them in a really high pitched voice.  Maybe they understood her...I still don't.  She also tried to climb in to the pin with the alpaca (bottom left, is that an alpaca?).  There was also an area where you could hold rabbits and baby chicks.  Jackson held a little bunny but Randal chose to just look on.

Air Show!

This past Sunday we went to the Air Show in Wilmington.  It was my first time going to such an event (and Randal's!).  It was an absolutely gorgeous day...perfect for plane watching.  Randal didn't really get it, but seemed to enjoy herself since she was outside.  Matt has gone to plenty of airshows and I can already tell that Matt and Randal Jean will be going to many more in the future :)

Enjoy!

We ran in to my friend, Heather, and her family at the air show.  She has the most adorable 2 year old, Jackson :)  Randal seemed to be quite smitten with him...it probably didn't hurt that he was very generous with his goldfish.  Here are some of Heather and her family:

Water Table!

Do you remember playing with a water table in Kindergarten and how much fun it was?  Yeah, I know water tables were the best :)

With the temperature rising we got Randal Jean a water table for the backyard and she has been having a BLAST splashing around!

Enjoy!

She really gets in to the splashing and makes the funniest faces!!!
 The funniest :)
I try so hard to keep a hat on her to protect her little face from the sun, but boy does she hate to wear a hat...
...and its really such a shame considering she looks like an absolute doll in this hat.  Oh how I could just eat this child for breakfast, lunch, and dinner :)

Just enjoy...that is all :)

Another Evening at the Beach

So the night after I took Randal Jean to the beach myself (previous post) Matt joined us for another trip out to the beach.  It was getting quite cold that evening so we weren't able to stay for long, but we did enjoy the time we had :)

Enjoy!

An Evening at the Beach

A couple weekends ago I took Randal Jean to the beach one evening to kill some time.  It was a terribly windy day so I wasn't sure she would enjoy herself, but she loved it!!!  She ran through the sand, picked up the sand, and kicked and screamed the whole time I carried her off the beach :)  She is going to be super fun at the beach this summer!!!!

Enjoy!
Doesn't she look like she can just reach out and grab the sun?
I want to eat this child up!

 Loving the beach :)

All The Babes

Before Randal Jean there was Cobi and Tessa...our first two babes!  They haven't been given much face time here on the blog so I thought I would post a couple pictures of them since they were getting jealous :)  They do so well with Randal Jean and Randal Jean absolutely adores them.  I'm quite certain her first real word will be dog.  She already says something kind of like "dog" but its really only understandable to those who are around her  a lot.

Enjoy!

Randal Jean goes to the Circus!!!

The circus comes to town every year for the Azalea Festival and having a 13m old gave us the perfect excuse to go this year :)  When we first arrived we watched people riding on the elephants out front and then headed inside to scope out some decent seats.  Randal was getting antsy in our laps so we walked around inside the tent with her and took her over to watch all the older kids taking camel and pony rides.  We thought Randal Jean would be a quiet observer of the camel and pony rides like she was of the elephant rides but as soon as she saw those ponies she wanted to go play with them.  The child squirmed and squirmed in Matt's arms and when he finally put her down she tried to climb in to the middle of the circus ring with the ponies...not kidding.  Since the division between us and the ponies was only a small piece of wood she nearly succeeded in her attempt (yikes!).  In true Daddy fashion Matt wanted to appease her ASAP (oh, how daddy's girl always get what she wants) so he paid the $5 for a 30 sec (no lie) pony ride.  Randal had a look of complete shock while she was on the pony (probably because they were close to galloping) so we didn't know if she really liked it, but as soon as the ride was over (a whooping 30 sec later...can you tell I think that was ludicrous!) she started to cry.  So guess who came to the rescue again?  You got it! Daddy!  This time Matt paid something ridiculous for a slushy (I think $8).  That distracted her enough for us to remove her from the pony situation (thank goodness!).   Soon enough the show started and there were tigers, clowns, trapeze artists...you know all the circus stuff :)  Randal lasted about an hour in to the show (2 hour show) and she just couldn't take it any more, but that was okay considering before the show even started I had mentioned to Matt that if she made it an hour I would consider the evening a success :)

So all in all our first trip to the circus was a success!

Here are some pics of our trip to the circus :)

Randal Jean's world coming to an end....aka the pony ride was over.

More circus.....Randal approved of all the acts by giving everyone a BIG round of applause :)
