Oatmeal Raisin & People Watching

Barnes & Noble sent Randal Jean a certificate for a free cookie for her birthday so just before her birthday I took her to the cafe for her favorite cookie, oatmeal raisin.  We then headed outside so Randal Jean could enjoy her cookie in the sun.  While eating her cookie she was quite content people watching (she must be mine!), however, she isn't a silent people watcher.  As an observant two year old she would call out every time someone would walk by and label them a Mommy, Daddy, Nana, Grandma, or Kid.  Nothing too embarrassing for me and she was labeling most people correctly given their age/gender.  Then an African American man walked by and she says, "strong!"  This was a bit out of left field as I didn't even know "strong" was a regularly used word for her nor was the man actually strong (or didn't appear to be)...rather lanky in build if I don't say so myself.  As her vocabulary grows people watching with Randal Jean could become quite interesting.

 Watching everyone walk by
What Tilley thought of our outing :)
