Christmas Heirlooms

This year I was able to dress Randal Jean and Tilley up in my old Christmas dresses made by my granny Till.  This will be the only year that both of them are able to wear a dress together so it was extra special that I was able to capture them both in the dresses.

Randal Jean's Christmas Recital

Randal Jean had her first dance performance earlier this month in the Christmas recital for her dance studio.  Randal Jean and the rest of the 2/3 class did such a great job.  I was so worried about her getting out there and just sitting down or doing nothing at all as that had happened more than once during rehearsals but she did fantastic!

I brought my still camera along but we forgot the video camera, however, another mom did send me a video she took from her phone.  If you watch the video Randal Jean is in a red turtleneck and is the farthest from the camera.

The other little girl is Mila...she and Randal Jean are BFFs in dance class getting in to all sorts of mischief while not listening to their teacher!

Sick

The stomach bug has made it through our household getting to each of us one by one. I don't know if I should be thankful that it has hit us one at a time so I can care for my babes or wish it had hit us all at once so we could just be done with this mess. It started with Matt over the weekend then Randal Jean, myself, and now Tilley.

I don't think there is ever a good time to be this sick but this is without a doubt the worst time of year for me to be sick. My business really kicks it up a notch at the holidays and I have found myself rescheduling sessions and emailing clients to tell them it will be a bit longer on their galleries. Everyone has been so gracious so far as the overwhelming majority of my clients are parents of young children so they get it but I really just want to get back to work soon.

I'll get back to blogging once I'm caught up on client orders/edits. I'm currently blogging from my phone while Tilley sleeps in my arms. If you want up to date pics of the girls check out my Instagram feed on the right sidebar.

It's Official

It's official!!!! I have joined the masses and upgraded to an iPhone 5. Not a moment too soon as my droid was about to finally bite the dust for good after I dropped it for the millionth time and the screen shattered.

Anyways I'm most excited about the camera. Now I can join the legions of moms taking blurry phones pics of their kids.

I am posting this from my phone so I can't caption each photo. This is a hodge podge of playing in the playroom, Tilley playing with her twin in the mirror, Randal Jean devouring "pumpkin cream," our walk to school when Matt took Tilley's carseat to work with him, bath time, Randal Jean sleeping at the foot of the bed, and Randal Jean wanting to drive my car.

And because this post isn't random enough lets throw in a recipe for pumpkin dip or "pumpkin cream" as Randal calls it.

Cool whip
Can of pumpkin purée
Packet of instant vanilla pudding
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Combine and serve :). We like it with apples and ginger snaps

This just a test post to see of I can blog from my iPhone...

Leaves!!!!

Our yard is full of pine needles and not very many leaves.....  We do, however, have a neighbor with lots of leaves and I may have just let me kids play in their back yard today :)  I did knock on their door to see if it was okay first but no one answered so I assumed they were at work.  I should note the fence in the background is the outside of our fence and our neighbor's back yard is not fenced so it wasn't quite as sketch as it sounds/looks.

Randal Jean had lots of fun with the leaves.  Tilley tried to eat them....
